I'm so excited about this!!! Gah, there are so many things I love.

First, you've just contrived such an intricate plot that I see fitting well into the Fringe universe. I LOVED that Walter tried to get Peter out once his own son's life was threatened and that he'd buried the memories so Peter wouldn't have to deal with them. I can SO see that happening.

It also makes a terrible amount of sense why Peter ended up being partnered with Olivia. You picked up on a part of the pairing of the kids that I hadn't remembered at first, the fact that their partnering was supposed to provide stability and that stability should technically go both ways. So I can see how Nick couldn't provide the same amount of support to Olivia, so Peter was brought in. That's too cool.

I continue to adore the P/O dynamic. The bond they have with one another is so strong and magnetic. I love how their eyes locked across the crowd immediately in the club, and that Nick (and haha to the fact that Jones doesn't know this!) hadn't manipulated Peter's emotions. The attraction between P & O was real and furthermore Peter's abilities are apparently strong enough that he can shield himself from Nick's influence.

But not Olivia's. I love how Peter was pissed that she'd turned his own trick on him. And poor Olivia you can tell was so hurt by the fact that he didn't remember. It seems like she really did lean on him alot when they were children, and Peter so far only has a flash of memory of that. Oh, and love how Nick picked up on the attraction between P/O when Peter called her "sweetheart" (thanks for bringing that line into this!). Those two are SO meant to be together.

And okay, I LOVE love love the difference in Olivia's and Nick's receptiveness to having Peter back. Nick, even though he's probably fairly aware that Peter doesn't remember everything, is already treating like Peter is one of the team -- another guy to hang around with. While of course it seems Olivia is more closed off than ever and unhappy about this new addition (even if Peter was once a part of it) to their team.

I'm curious to see more of the details of Peter's escape and how that affected Olivia. I feel like she must hold resentment towards him for leaving. Is that why Peter felt "guilt and betrayal" radiating off her earlier? Also, it makes sense to me that she's more closed off than ever because I bet when Peter left she must've really put a lock down on her emotions since he was no longer there to act as her support. Of course Olivia does have Nick, but as Jones noted -- the dynamics of that relationship are different and don't provide Olivia the kind of "stability" she really needs.

Gosh, I love this. I really need to go do work now, but I hope to be back to read more of this later today!
